Te Muna Estate
Butterworth Pinot Noir 2020

Butterworth Pinot Noir 2020

Redcurrants, cranberries, dried herbs and sweet spices on the nose. Some cedar, too. It’s medium-bodied with lively acidity. Fruity and crunchy with vibrant character, tension and balance. Succulent finish..

This is an unfined pure expression of our vineyard’s best Pinot Noir vines. Blended together to create a distinctive, complete and satisfying wine.

Colour: Deep garnet, purple hue.

Aroma: Cardamom, blueberries, dark fleshed cherries with flecks of freshly
crushed vanilla pod leap from the glass.

Palate: Rich dark toasty characters add to the Te Muna bright acid line. The
tannins are youthful and fine boned, adding to the mid palate interest. An iron
fist in a velvet glove.

Winemakers Notes

months in oak, before the first racking. No fining agents were added, and the

Appealing, elegant pinot noir with red fruits, spice, wood-smoke, fresh herbs and subtle floral flavours. A high-energy wine with a backbone of bright, fresh acidity and fine, peppery tannins.
