Te Muna Estate
Sauvignon Blanc 2020
"Blackcurrant leaf, pineapple, and mandarin pith combine with the vanilla bean of the French oak on the nose. The palate showcases the Te Muna racy acid line, with a richness from the wine’s time on full lees"
- Martin Bell, Winemaker
"Fermented and matured in oak for 12 months. Moderately intense Sauvignon Blanc with grapefruit, struck flint, vanilla pod, guava and subtle spicy oak. Stylish wine with power and purity"
- 94 pts Bob Campbell Master of Wine, The Real Review - May 2022
"Offers a concentrated core of ripe fruit akin to apples, pineapple and dill. The oak influence is very subtle, adding the merest of nutty characters; it has been more influential creating a Sauvignon Blanc whose naturally angular edges have been curved and rounded. The finish is firm and precise with a line of citrusy acidity propelling it along."
- 92 pts Rebecca Gibb MW - Vinous - Mar 2022
Exquisitely styled and expressed, this gorgeous barrel-fermented sauvignon shows nectarine, fig, lime peel and oatmeal characters on the nose with a hint of vanilla overtone. The concentrated palate displays outstanding focus and persistency, beautifully complemented by refined texture and vibrant acidity. At its best: now to 2028.
- 95 pts and 5 Stars Sam Kim Wine Orbit - May 2022
Drinking well now, but still unfolding, this estate-grown wine was fermented and lees-aged for a year in seasoned French oak barrels. Bright, light yellow/green, it is a characterful, full-bodied wine with strong, ripely herbaceous flavours, nutty, savoury characters adding very good complexity, and a dry, crisp finish.
- 4.5 Stars Michael Cooper for WINESTATE - Apr 2022

Colour: Bright light golden hue.
Aroma: Grapefruit pith, tropical fruit salad and freshly crushed sage and basil jump from the glass. An undertone of cracked vanilla bean adds a hint of oaky complexity.
Palate: 12 on Gross Lees has given an oiliness to the palate that is beautifully juxtaposed with the racy acid line from the ripe Sauvignon Blanc fruit. The wine exhibits that New World flavour grunt, with Old world styling and balance. Textural with fabulous length, this wine begs to be enjoyed amongst great company with divine seafood delights.
